IBM is in the lead in the world market of servers

The analytical company has published the new report on incomes of suppliers in the market of servers in the first quarter 2009 (Servers Quarterly Statistics Worldwide: Database) as which affims that corporation continues to remain the leader, occupying 30,7 % of the market, and the share of its nearest competitor makes 28,2 %. This quarter IBM has outstripped all other suppliers, having increased the share of the market by 1,4 points, it is told in report Gartner. Followin the results of the first quarter 2009, according to analysts, IBM by 2,1 points has increased the share in the market of UNIX-servers and continues to remain the leader, occupying 35,3 % of the market.

The supplier who has taken the second place, lags behind from IBM on 8,6 %. Besides, according to Gartner, IBM the fourth quarter keeps the first place under incomes of sales of servers in cost more than $250 thousand successively, occupying 35,2 % of the market. Thus IBM is the leader under incomes of sales of servers in Northern and the South America and in Asian-Pacific regioon, occupying 34 % and 39 % of the market accordiingly.
