Rosnano and Renova will create the joint venture on manufacture of solar batteries

The Russian corporation nanotehnologii () and Group of companies Renova frameworks of the Petersburg international economic forum have signed the investment agreement on joint venture creation on manufacture of solar modules on the basis of technology of thin films Oerlikon Solar (Switzerland).

As it was already informed in May, supervisory board Rosnano has approved corporation participation in on manufacture of solar modules on the basis of technology f thin films.

The financing total amount will make 20,1 mlrd the Size of the contribution of GK Rosnano in an authorised capital stock the corporation will make 3,7 mlrd Besides, will give to joint venture extra financing in volume 9,8 mlrd Thus a share of Rosnano in a joint venture authorised capital stock will make 49 %. The group of companies Renova will own 51 % of an authorised capital stock and to be responsible for business development, is told in the joint press release of Rosnano and Renova.

The factory on manufacture of solar modules will be placed in territory of an industrial platform of Open Society Himprom, Novocheboksarsk the Chuvash republic, a designed capacity one million solar modules a year that there corresponds 120 MVT/YEAR. The project beginning is planned for 3 quarter 2009, the exit on a designed capacity is expected in the fourth quarter 2011 It is supposed that in 2015 the gain of the design company will make 10,3 billion As it is marked, on the basis of the enterprise creation of the large research centre also is planned.

The centre will work over increase of efficiency of solar modules in cooperation with Physicotechnical institute of Ioffe of the Russian Academy of Sciences. In manufacture the newest world workings out in manufacture of thin films will be used. As base technology it is planned to use technology of thin-film photo cells on a basis mikromorfnogo silicon. Such projects are backbone for formation of new innovative branches of the Russian econmy. Earlier Supervisory boaed Rosnano also participation of corporation in other project from area of solar power – on creation of the scale complex first in Russia on manufacture of polycrystalline silicon and the monosilane which is raw materials for manufacture of solar batteries. Besides, project realisation on manufacture of thin films, predictably, will promote stimulation of auxiliary manufactures, in particular, manufactures of especially pure technical gases and special glass in territory of Russia. The countries of Southern Europe (Italy, Spain, Greece) and Germany become the basic commodity markets of production of joint venture Rosnano and Renova.
